What is the best way to apply for a job?
The best way to apply is on-line using the Candidate Information Form. Just provide contact information, respond to several questions, and cut and paste your resume. This information will be sent directly to our Human Resources Department.
Another option is to fax your resume, along with a cover letter that includes the information requested in the Candidate Information Form, to the Human Resources Department. The fax number is 614-485-9089.
I don't have a resume - can I stop by the office and fill out an application?
Yes. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Eastern time zone) Monday - Friday. When completing the application form, be sure to identify the specific job you are interested in.

How do I know what jobs are open?
Available positions are listed under Current Openings. They will be posted until filled or closed by HR.
I want to apply for more than one position - do I have to submit a resume for each one?
The Candidate Information Form allows you to apply for up to three open positions. You'll be asked for the Requisition # of each job you are interested in, but you only need to submit your resume once.
How do I know what is required for the job?
Education, skill and experience requirements are listed with each posting. Preferences for specific registrations, certifications, software use or years of experience are also included.
I'm looking for a summer job, internship or college co-op experience. I don't see any currently available - how do I apply?
These short-term or temporary positions will not be listed under Current Openings, but you can still apply: just type "Summer", "Intern" or "Co-op" in the Requisition # box. In your cover letter be sure to specify the type of work experience (survey crew, engineering, etc.) you are seeking and the office location you prefer.
How do I know my resume has been received or check its status?
You will receive an acknowledgement via e-mail if you apply on-line. If you are being considered for the position we will contact you directly to set up an interview.
I don't see anything I'm interested in now. Can I submit my resume and if something I'm qualified for comes up, will you contact me?
If you don't see a position that suits you now, please check back on a regular basis for new openings. We prefer that candidates apply for specific vacancies rather than send unsolicited resumes.
I mailed my resume to you last year - is it still on file?
We consider Applications or Resumes active for 90 days only.
I've been working with a search firm to find a new position. Can I have them send my resume to you?
Our company prefers to work directly with the candidate and does not use search firms.
Occasionally we receive resumes for the same candidate from both a search firm and the candidate. In these cases we will consider the first contact only - if it is from the candidate we will give consideration to the candidate. If the first contact is from the search firm, the candidate will not be considered. We will not be responsible for any fees related to unsolicited or unauthorized searches.
How will I know when a position has been filled?
When a position has been filled, or we have received a large number of responses and are no longer accepting resumes, it will be removed from the Current Openings page.
